Edinburgh Weavers was one of the most important textile companies of the twentieth century. Alastair Morton (1910 – 1963), visionary art director of the company, commissioned leading British designers and artists to produce a remarkable series of textiles. This bedlinen features bold stripes in a combination of chambray and indigo blues with a red stripe co-ordinate and an embroidered canvas cushion featuring a scene of London Bridge.
